Panasonic launched 3 latest prosumer HD camcorders early 2009, particularly the flash-based Panasonic HDC-TM300, HDD-based HDC-HS300 and HDC-HS250K.
These camcorder models have exactly the same 12x zoom f/1.8 - 2.8 lens, 3MOS sensors and 3-chip system. They encompass the best video quality of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second at 17 megabits per second and are meant to record roughly 8 minutes of video per gigabyte of storage space and roughly 4 hours of video footage in the internal memory. These three new models also comprise the Optical Image Stabilization and Intelligent Automatic features and benefits of prior Panasonic camcorders.
The Panasonic HDC-HS300 and TM300 offer a manual focus ring, EVF, accessory shoe and mic inputs that the Panasonic HDC-HS250K does not have, noting its portable design. These two camcorders are exactly the same apart from that the Panasonic HDC-TM300 records to either SD cards or its 32GB internal memory. On the other hand, both the HDD-based models sport 120GB hard disks.
These camcorders lend users great video quality when the colors might be a tad softer compared to its fellow contenders. The Panasonic HDC-HS250K makes for a great bargain without the frills when compared with its other counterparts.
